Presentation :
Founded in 2020 during the first lockdown, the association Un abri qui sauve des vies (A Shelter That Saves Lives) organizes and manages community-based housing for victims of domestic and family violence.
Thanks to the commitment of individuals and professionals who lend a room or apartment, it provides a humane, supportive, and safe solution, allowing victims to find refuge in a stable and respectful environment.
Missions & support
• Organization and supervision of citizen-run shelters
• Safe shelter for victims
• Support and guidance for those being housed
• Awareness-raising and training for volunteers
Approach :
Volunteers are trained and made aware of domestic and intra-family violence to ensure they provide appropriate support.
The organization supports and guides individuals during their stay, helping them find a lasting solution and avoid returning to their abuser.
