Who
Are we?

Founded in 2024 by Julie Lewis,

Silence Allows Violence is an independent non-profit organization (under the French law of 1901) that works to facilitate the journey of victims of violence, as well as that of their loved ones.

A united group of people illustrating the association's values of solidarity and commitment.
Arrow in the middle of a target

To reduce the aimless wandering, mental burden and wasted time faced by victims by bringing together associations and experienced professionals within the same network.

Our mission

Create a single, visible and accessible network that allows:

• to enable victims, survivors and their families to quickly obtain appropriate assistance,

• to enable associations and field professionals to collaborate more easily,

• it is up to each individual to find their way without having to multiply the steps, calls or traumatic stories.

act from childhood

Violence in adults often stems from childhood trauma. Abuse, neglect, and traumatic situations can have profound and lasting consequences. To break this cycle, it is essential to detect and address these traumas as soon as they occur. Silence Allows Violence aims to create a network of associations and professionals trained in the detection and support of child victims of violence. But we go further: we also seek to enable relevant professionals (educators, social workers, psychologists, etc.) to receive further training through easier access to specialized trainers. This allows them to develop the skills necessary to better understand, detect, and address violence at an early stage, before it fully manifests. By focusing on access to training and the development of new skills, we aim to amplify the impact of trained professionals by expanding the network and improving the quality of care.

Why this project?

Being a victim of violence turns everything upside down.

Seeking help then becomes a complex, often arduous process:

• scattered information,

• multiple interlocutors,

• waiting times,

• misunderstandings,

• lack of resources adapted to the type of violence.

Silence Allows Violence was created to respond to this reality: to offer a clear, reliable and caring space that allows faster access to the right resources, without getting lost in endless procedures.

Our values

Accessibility

Facilitating access to essential information, regardless of physical, psychological or material limitations.

Reliability

List only associations and experienced professionals who are committed and aligned with safe practices.

Solidarity

Building a network that connects and supports actors committed to fighting against all forms of violence.

Security

To guarantee a discreet, respectful and non-intrusive consultation environment for victims and their loved ones.

Our vision

We believe in a world where no victim feels alone, where help is clear, accessible and truly tailored.

Silence Allows Violence is a bridge: between those who seek support, and those who can provide it.

And tomorrow…

To realize this vision and enable even simpler access, we are developing a free application designed to:

• quickly direct the response according to the type of violence,

• geolocate reliable resources,

• facilitate networking,

• strengthen collaborations between field actors.

Our team

Silence Allows Violence currently relies on a small team of volunteers, each contributing according to their skills and availability. The project progresses thanks to the involvement of individuals committed to network development, communication, resources, and the structuring of the organization.

Our operation is evolving: the team adapts and grows as needs change, with a common goal of making help more accessible, more reliable and more humane for all people facing violence.
